Sublime level of spiritual insight is considered a fundamental goal in Sufis’ minds and Love which is the key to spiritual elevation is given different names by them such as “Hob” (same as love in English), “Mahboub” (Beloved), “Mashough” (Beloved), and “Shahed” (Beloved of the same sex). In Sufism, love is believed to be manifested in two forms: virtual and real. Beauty worshiping Sufis believe “Love” to be the most fundamental and efficient way to get to the essence of beauty and to understand the real beauty. Virtual love and same-sex love is one of the most significant evidences of Sufis’ acting against standards and has always been objected by the clergies. Sufis’ beauty worshiping approach to virtual love and the link they make between beauty, love and knowledge of truth, and the courageous attitude they have regarding physical beauty, have all been far from sexual desire, playing, heresy, and homosexuality, rather it is a pure inner desire that is combined with wisdom , which is both necessary and constructive.
