Although the poetry of the first period in the Persian language, i.e. Khorasani style poetry, is full of naturalism and happiness, however, epistemological topics (in the field of religion, wisdom and mysticism) are also part of the themes of the poems of poets and orators of this period. Based on this, the present research sought to analyze the poems of some poets of the mentioned period such as: Abu Shakur Balkhi, Kasai Marvazi, Rudaki Samarqandi, Ferdowsi and Naser Khosro, to calculate the religious and epistemological themes of the poets' poems and categorize them. Comparing them with each other, along with the degree of reflection of these themes, exposes the reader to the direct or indirect effect of the mentioned themes with the verses of the Qur'an and the Prophetic and Alawite traditions. In short, what was obtained from the research is that: themes such as: self-knowledge and God-knowledge, worship and praise of God, repentance and returning from sin, advice for piety and piety, honesty and truthfulness, contentment and moderation, self-control in Speaking and maintaining moderation in conversation, humility and tolerance, thinking about death and preparing for the journey to the afterlife, etc., are among the most used themes in the poetry of these poets, and in this sense, they can be considered the pioneers of epistemological thinking in all periods of Persian poetry. Meanwhile, Ferdowsi and Nasser Khosrow have taken a bigger share in this regard.
